The Mercedes-Benz | ic! berlin Collection.

For the fifth year in a row, the new 2025 Mercedes-Benz | ic! berlin collection celebrates a shared understanding of design: the harmony of function and timeless materials. Reflecting the origins of both brands, the new collection combines the authentic use of pure materials with a reduction to sensual lines.

Retro. For minimalists. 

 

For the 2025 collection, our Berlin design team looked to the past for inspiration and reinterpreted iconic retro designs, always pushing for more reduction: What is the essence of an aviator? What detail to keep? What would be too decorative? How can we make the design even lighter? How do we bring the pure material to the fore? Subtle breaks with the familiar make each of the four models in this collection a minimalist design object. Timeless and elegant, yet full of character.

In light and in shadow.

 

Another nice design detail in this collection: photochromic lenses automatically adjust to changing light conditions. Thanks to special molecules that respond to light, the self-tinting lenses darken automatically and clear as UV light decreases. Photochromic lenses darken up to 85 percent and change in about one to one and a half minutes. Ideal for a minimalist lifestyle that focuses on a few high quality items. Available for MB 22 and MB 24.

The MB 21 brings the classic aviator shape into the present: A striking tribute to a design with a long history. With their teardrop shape, aviators offer greater coverage of the eye area and prevent glare from multiple angles. The reinterpretation of the mono-bridge is reminiscent of sunglasses with folding shades, but the impression of a modern composition remains. Strong and thin lines in balance. Sophisticated and minimalist at the same time.

MB 21

MB 22

As a companion model to the MB21 (a classic aviator), it is only logical that the MB22 follows in the tradition of the navigator, the co-pilot’s glasses. The classic angular design of this shape is primarily focused on forward and downward vision. The MB22’s flowing lines and powerful design of the mono-bridge create a smart and quietly luxurious look.

Introducing: The first model in our collaboration with Mercedes-Benz to
feature our unique hybrid design. German cold-rolled stainless steel and cotton-based acetate combine to create a stylish yet robust composition. Fine facets break up the acetate’s volume, creating a modern, luxurious look. Clean, but smart.

The centerpiece of this collection: A sun model in our unique hybrid design. German cold-rolled stainless steel meets the finest cotton-based acetate – a bold, yet elegant composition. The finely shaped curves of the acetate form a deliberate contrast to the straight-lined stainless steel bridge. Particularly impressive in the new color Maroon.

One last thing: Goodbye, plastic stickers.
Electrostatic plastic decals on polarized lenses will soon be a thing of the past. For environmental reasons, we will engrave “cat. 3P” on each left temple of polarized sunglasses. This is a rolling change; glasses that have already been produced still bear the stickers.
